Buffalo Ears

Our Buffalo Ears with meat are 100% natural and a healthy alternative to pigs ears as they are leaner and lower in saturated fat, but still bursting with natural flavour. Unlike some buffalo ears, ours have delicious meat on them to which dogs find irresistible. The extra large ears are naturally dried to preserve and retain their flavour and nutrients and don't contain any artificial preservatives, colours or flavourings. What's more they are also grain and gluten free, with no fillers, making them suitable for dogs on a single protein source diet or raw feeders.

Pigs and cows ears are a traditional treat given by many owners to their dogs, especially those with working dogs. But buffalo ears are still relatively new, they are long lasting, economical, lower in fat and lower in odour which has been a criticism as to why some people don't buy pigs ears. Many working dog owners use buffalo ears as a training aid, reward for good behaviour and a natural alternative to satisfy your dogs or puppies instinctive urge to chew something, helping to avoid destructive behaviour in the home.

Natural chews such as buffalo ears are irresistible to most dogs, their crunchy and smell fantastic, well at least to them and will help remove food deposits around your dog's teeth by scraping away at plaque and tartar build up when your dog chews on them. But I haven't tried them myself so I guess it's like buffalo jerky for your four legged friend and I have no plans to find out anytime soon so please no requests, these ears are strictly for dogs only! Buffalo ears are high in beneficial oils, including Omega 3 which will help promote a healthy heart and glossy coat.

Some natural chew and treats have experienced some bad press over the past few years, but here at Valupets we have been spoiling our dogs for years with buffalo ears, ham bones, pigs ears, deer antlers, smoked bones etc.. They can be safely feed to your dog by simply supervising them and when a chew becomes small enough to swallow, throw it in the bin.

Dogs love and need to chew as it helps relieve stress, boredom and puppies with teething pain!

Please note we recommend owners give any natural treat or chew including buffalo ears to your dog either outside in the garden or on a non stainable surface to avoid stains or smells from the chews being absorbed into carpets or furnishings!
